Study Evaluation

The Heads of Department/Study Programme in the Faculty of Industrial Technology are assisted by the Academic Division Officer to evaluate the students’ academic progress regularly. There are five types of study evaluation:

Semester-End Evaluation

This evaluation aims to review the academic progress of students in every semester. In this evaluation, the first-year students who get a lower GPA than 2.00 can be identified as Drop Out (DO) students. They will be warned by the Faculty.

Study Evaluation for the First Year

This evaluation aims to review the academic progress of students as whether they are active or not in the first year. New students who have already registered and paid the first installment but remain inactive for two semesters can be identified as Passing Out (PO) students.

Middle Study Evaluation (The First of Four Semester Evaluation)

This evaluation is for the students who have already taken four semesters (the second year). If the students cannot complete at least 30 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.00, they can be identified as Drop Out (DO) and will be warned by the Faculty.

Non-Active Limit Evaluation (Leave Study without Rector Permission)

Students whose status is inactive (leave study without Rector’s permission) for four semesters consecutively are not allowed to continue their studies.

Final Study Evaluation

This is an evaluation for students who have reached the maximum time to study (fourteen semesters). The basis for determining whether Drop Out (DO) should be conducted or not are explained below:

  • Class of 2012 students are given time to finish their studies until 2018/2019 academic year.
  • Class of 2013 students are given time to finish their studies until 2019/2020 academic year.
  • Class of 2014 students are given time to finish their studies until 2020/2021 academic year.
  • Class of 2015 students are given time to finish their studies until 2021/2022 academic year.
  • Class of 2016 students are given time to finish their studies until 2022/2023 academic year.
  • Class of 2017 students are given time to finish their studies until 2023/2024 academic year.
